Totally sucks Never again cheap company

I have been a First Choice Power Customer since July 2012. I was never late on my bill. When November came my bill did not arrive. I checked the online system and the bill didn't show there either. I called into First Choice to inquire about my bill amount and was told that due to a recent merger with Direct Energy, they went back and analyzed the accounts and found that I had paid a deposit when I should not have and instead of cut me a... Moved my due date up 3 wks creating back-to-back billings due a week apart. Increased rate while I'm suppose to be @ a "locked-in" rate. Reps are unprofessional, rude and supervisors are not any better. Promises of callbacks never happen, emails go unanswered. Check out their Facebook page and you will see for yourself....no replies. I HAD AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I RECV'D A DISCONNECTION NOTICE STATING MY BILL WAS DUE BY MAY 11 AND ON MAY 8 MY SERVICE WAS DISCONNECTED. I WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS DEPARTMENT WHO TOLD ME I WOULD NEED TO PAY $700 TO HAVE MY SERVICE RESTORED AND FAX THE RECPT. I was referred to First Choice by a friend I sent all my documents in for new service and they still wouldn't turn it on. They claimed another tenant didn't pay their bill and they think were the same tenants trying to get electric under a different name. I have been with First Choice Power for about 4 months and every bill I get is super high from 200.00 to 300.00. The bad part about this is that I don't be at home to use the lights like that. I stayed in a 4 bedroom 2.5 bath two story house and we use lights a lot and my bill never went over 200.00. Basically the feet on the street they came in claiming they were first choice but now Direct Energy. Was currently under contract with Direct, my NEW agreement was with another provider which started mid month 1/2012. So they enrolled me into a new contract in 10/2011 funny thing is my current rate was .778 they enroll me for .0869 (which at todays Natural Gas prices I find to be hilarious) when I KNOW rates are in the 5 cent range. With First Choice they are hard to work with if you are paying out a bill. I'm on disability, get my check on the 3rd. The bill is due on the 2nd, if it isn't paid on the 2nd they will withdraw the payment arrangements we have, and shut off electricity until all bills are paid. Don't fall for the sales job. They suck you in with a low 4.5 cent rate, then the first full month you are at 12.8 cents. But they are still offering the 4.5 cent rate on Power to Choose. So I guess variable means whatever the h*ll they want it to mean. What scam artists. Oh, and they don't answer the phone to take your complaint. I guess they are too busy taking other complaints.
