I paid a deposit of $400.oo and they turned my lights off cause i owe $68.00. my lights have been off for 2 weeks,,this time for $132.00. i am not happy with this service..how can i switch to a nother company and get my deposit baack.the company is firstchoice energey co..i sign up just in may 2010..my lights been turned off twice aand im pissed off..my kids have illness that must company wouldnt turn my lights cause of their conditions..i been charged reconnection fees twice and im pissed about that ..why did i pay such a big deposit and they are turning my lights off if im 10 days late ..help me please

I have good credit and I still paid a large deposit, I have had them for 2 years and have had my electric cut off because they sent me the wrong amount on my bill and I owed them 15.00!!!

The got the reconnect fee.The first year in my 3 bedroom tiny apt.

my bill never when under 300, in my house it did not go over 350 for a 4 bedroom house, not that I told them I will not renew with them my bill all of the sudden went to 500!yeah they are BS scammers

If I understand correctly...thru 1st choice power, after having good credit , no deposit required, for a solid 12 months , bill paid on time and in full, the rates per kilowatt hour should be reduced?Instead...at a year....I was given coupons if I recruited any one to the company...they would get a discount , not me.

I am also looking for another company.

I live effeciently in a 600 sq.ft.home and my bill is $100 or more each month.

I understand exactly where you are coming from.I've been with them since 2006.

I missed 1 arrangement they disconnected me and reconnected me in the same day.

An this month I can't even get a 7 day arrangement.Looking now for a new provider any suggestions

IVE HAD FIRST CHOICE FOR ABOUT 3YRS AND I HATE THE SERVICE I WILL BE CHANGING SOON, I HAD A PROBLEM WITH GETTING SERVICE WITHOUT LARGE DEPOSITS DUE TO EX-HUSBAND USING MY SSN TO GET SERVICE AND NOT PAYING, ANYWAY I LIVE IN A ONE BEDROOM APT MY BILL HAVE BEEN SUPER HIGH (AS HIGH AS $300.00)AND I TOO HAVE HAD MY SERVICE CUT OFF SEVERAL TIMES I AM CURRENTLY SEEKING ANOTHER PROVIDER THEY REALLY DON'T VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS

You never hear of power being cut on a paying customer. WHy is it people are so shocked when they lose service "just because I am late." ?

I am guessing you paid such a huge deposit because you have no credit and was a "credit risk".....guess what? You proved them right!
